For the Summer 2018 redesign of Genome, we collaborated with Neubau Berlin to create a custom headline typeface inspired by genetic mutation. Our idea was to take the A, C, G, and T characters — representing the four bases that make up our DNA — and introduce mutations in the form of alternate glyph characters.
